For years the fast fashion industry has had a serious impact on consumers and how we buy clothes. Prior to the digital age of single click garment purchases, we had to shop in a way that allowed us to have physical connections with clothes before purchasing. This gave a deeper appreciation and connection the clothes you bought. As fast fashion continues to grow our clothes have gotten cheaper, easier, and more harmful. We buy, wear, tear, throw away. Mender & Company's initiative is to not put fast fashion to an end (that'd be nice) but to educate people on how to repair their clothes, buy sustainable, and avoid contributing to the fast fashion life and death cycle.
